Who am I?
I am an ASL teacher, poet, and content creator. I am a mother.
Most importantly, I am Deaf.
Where did "A Deafinitely Novel Life" come about?
My friend and I wanted a place to highlight the beauty - and struggles - of the Deaf community.
You will see Keri sometimes on here with her stories, as she is a writer who focuses on young adult fantasy book with D/HH characters.
I (Desiree) am an ASL teacher who creates videos and poetry. Additionally, I will be sharing my experiences through life and motherhood as a Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing person through both visually (VLogs) and emotionally written (blogs).
What will be on the site?
There will be a multitude of topics and items, including, but not limited to: a blog, a VLog, short stories, ASL poetry, and more. I also plan to have guest bloggers that can provide unique perspectives or support and resources that I've learned about that have helped me.
