If you are looking for an online ASL book club, well you came to the right place! Welcome to DEAFinitely Readers! We are an online ASL book club. Our focus is reading books by Deaf and Hard of Hearing authors, or books that have Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Deaf-Blind characters.
I'm so excited this came to fruition. K.T. James and I have been involved in a book club together for several years, but as we chatted on a TikTok LIVE one night, we could clearly see the excitement for a book club that focuses on celebrating and analyzing deaf and hard of hearing characters. That night, we talked about Deaf culture and experience and compared it to several books we were reading. Within the week, the book club on Fable and Discord and we started promoting it to our followers. I was surprised to hear so much positive feedback and it has been a great club!

Is Fable App and Discord free?
Yes! It's free - you don't have to pay for any subscription.
When do we meet?
We do LIVESTREAM on TikTok every Wednesday around 8:45 pm CST. Chapters are broken up beforehand on both Fable and Discord and those are discussed that Wednesday.
We are working finding an alternate place to LIVESTREAM and will inform update on all platforms (Fable, Discord, and Instagram).
How do we choose a book for the month?
Towards the end of the month, we discuss 3 options and those are given to the club members to vote on either Discord or Fable. Voting lasts three days and when three days are up, we check the results to see which book won.
